GrandEngine — Lightweight Python Game Engine

GrandEngine is a full-featured, easy-to-use 2D game engine built with Python and Pygame for rapid game development.

Two versions available:

• Full version (~120 MB): Complete package with all assets, examples, and a virtual environment for easy setup

• Mini version (21 KB): Exactly the same engine, same features, same files — just without the virtual environment, perfect for low-storage or quick installs

Features:

• Identical functionality across both versions — shapes, input, sounds, collision, math utilities, and more

• Modular, extendable core with minimal dependencies (only pygame needed)

• Designed for Linux (GUI works perfectly)

• Warning: On Windows, the GUI features do not work yet; only basic functionality is available

Installation:

1. Unzip your chosen version

2. Install pygame with pip install pygame

3. Run your Python game scripts on Python 3.13+

4. also 2.7.0 is a demo only 1 new thing
